Beyond Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE, three more Gulf countries steadily hire Indian workers. Here is a quick guide to each.
Kuwait
Demand for construction, oil & gas, drivers, technicians, cleaning and domestic roles. Your employer sponsors a work visa; a valid passport, attested certificates and a medical are needed. Confirm salary and accommodation in the contract.
Oman
Construction, hospitality, logistics, technicians and healthcare are common. Oman is known for a relatively straightforward process; you’ll need a work visa, medical and attested documents.
Bahrain
Hospitality, retail, construction, security and services hire regularly. Bahrain’s labour system is worker-friendly, but still confirm your role, salary and benefits before travel.
Common requirements across all three
- Valid passport (ECR clearance if applicable)
- GAMCA medical fitness certificate
- Attested certificates for skilled roles
- A written offer letter and contract
Tip: whichever country you choose, work only through a registered agency and get every promise in writing.
